Gracie hasn’t been able to see very well recently, so she decides to get some glasses. But, after playing on the mountain one day, she realizes that night that her glasses are missing. She heads straight out to look for them on the mountain–where a bored ghost is hiding in the darkness, waiting for someone to scare.
This book was cute.
Poor little Gracie loses her glasses. I can totally relate to that. Then she goes on a search for them but it is hard because she can't see! I can TOTALLY relate to that too! But then she meets and ghost...that has never happened in my search for my glasses. It would be cool if it did, though!
So, this book is cute. It oozes cuteness but it doesn't have the flow that most picture books have. One awesome aspect of this story, though, is the opening for extension activities based on touching things instead of seeing things. I think that children would enjoy this story once or twice but it doesn't have a repeat read feel for me.
