This book is adorable! The illustrations are eye catching and fun. The story is about an elephant and his little green umbrella that others think is theirs but the twist is that they think it is their something else...boat, tent, cane. The story is cute, fun and simple and the ending is heartwarming. What I love the most about this book is the possibility of extension activities in the classroom. The animals all use their imaginations to think out side of the box..or umbrella in this case..and this would be a wonderful jumping off point to have children start thinking differently about other things. OH MAN THE POSSIBILITIES! Great book for read alouds and more!
