I wanted to love this one. I really really did.
I love the cover. I mean, look at that cover! It is beautiful.
I loved the premise. A villain, a hero, a secret...sounds like the perfect book.
However, I got lost in the writing. It was hard to follow and the characters were hard to like and hard to hate...I didn't really care for anyone in the book.
I did love the twist at the end. I didn't see it coming but then again I don't know if that was because it wasn't hinted at or if I just didn't pick up on it from the writing.
This one wasn't a win for me.
