Everyone on campus has a different version of what happened that night. Haley saw Jenny return from the party, shell-shocked. Richard heard Jordan brag about the cute freshman he hooked up with. When Jenny accuses Jordan of rape, Haley and Richard are pushed to opposite sides of the school’s investigation. Now conflicting versions of the story may make bringing the truth to light nearly impossible—especially when reputations, relationships, and whole futures are riding on the verdict.
This was a difficult read.
It wasn't so much the subject matter...but that is difficult too. I found it hard to keep the events straight. Honestly, this book felt drunk and maybe that was the point. I'm not sure on that but I felt swirly.
I enjoyed the fact that we don't know what is the truth from the beginning. I think that really helped hook me on the story. I don't think this was a perfect book but it was good. I couldn't put it down and it delivered at the end...well for me it did,
I don't think this is a groundbreaking book but I think this is a wonderful start to get you thinking about this subject.
