My Lady Jane Grey in a not so true historical tale that may takes some liberties and include some magic.
So, guys, seriously. I passed this book up at least four times at my local library because I really don't enjoy historical fiction. Then I watched the wonderful Margot from Epic Reads describe this as a super funny book so I decided to give it a chance.
Okay, I honestly think this will be my favorite book of the year and it very well may be my favorite book of all time! Yes, I mean it. Seriously, no seriously! I read this book all the way through, then I bought the audio book, and then I read it again. All within one weekend! So yeah, TOTALLY OBSESSED!
This book is so funny. I was laughing in the prologue and I didn't stop laughing until the last page. The story is part history, part magic, and part awesome comic writing. I really hope these three authors team up again.
I mean it. Go get it! If you can get your hands on the audio book I highly recommend it because the narrator Katherine Kellgren is a GODDESS! She slayed this book. If you can't get that then I still recommend the physical book or ebook because it is just too good to miss!
The best way I can describe this book is that it is the book equivalent of Galavant but without the singing.
I MEAN IT! READ THIS!!! I am saying 5 stars but is really off the charts!
